Collins is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer who will work closely with the Collins Aftermarket organization and maintenance technicians, providing on-site technical support integrating new repairs/engineering changes, deviation requests, identifying the need for repair process improvements, and developing service bulletins.

This role in engineering offers opportunities to work with multiple cross-functional team members as well as management and customers.

Onsite:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Write deviation requests and coordinate with IPT leads to disposition field reported issues.

• Support component repair procedures, field service limits, LRU repairs, field investigations and operational capability of the report depot.

• Collaborate with the technical publications team for initiation, planning and coordinating the service bulletin, service information letters and component maintenance manuals.

• Initiate and implement engineering changes and component repairs.

• Identify repair process improvements and tooling requirements.

• Repair training for the Depot maintenance technicians

• Collaborate with Aftermarket, Depot customer and Ground Support Engineering

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering degree or MBA degree combined with an undergraduate engineering degree.

• F135 military customer and/or aftermarket experience

• Experience in a heavy maintenance repair centers

• Experience using continuous improvement concepts and tools

• Experience with controls system hardware (Electronics, gearboxes, heat exchangers, pumps)
