A Day in the Life of a Metal Fabricator

Assists in the planning, coordination and pre-fabrication of all of GSM Services metalwork for the Commercial and Residential HVAC departments by performing the following duties:

• Organizes metal products and maintains the organization of these products for easy use on a job by job basis (Pop Rivets, Screws, Metal, Caulking, PVC, Metal Racks, etc.)
• Fabricates and Labels all metal work for sheet metal crews and shop as directed and to meet the needed production schedule set by the Manager and Field Personnel.
• Communicates with all Field Team Leaders, Managers, and Other Personnel in a two-way manner to accomplish fluid communication and production. (Written and Verbal)
• Responsible for time allocation and effectiveness of production.

What you Need to be Qualified for the Fabricator Metal Shop position

• Able to add, subtract, and multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, and fraction equivalents.
• Must have valid North/South Carolina driver's license with clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read and decipher sketches and drawings produced by field personnel and management.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Neat Appearance
• Good work ethic
• Possess the ability to read and write English to a high school level
