Overview:
GPM Investments is seeking a Project Manager to join our Construction and Facilities Team! The Project Manager directs and coordinates activities of contractors and professional service companies engaged in construction, repair, maintenance, construction or remodeling of buildings, site work and/or site work improvement, QSR or other concepts for multiple regions, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

  • This is a remote position in the MA/CT area; qualifying Candidates must reside in the coverage area.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans for all construction and remodel projects in assigned geographical area.
  • Budget, manage and communicate all projects to stakeholders
  • Bring all projects in on time and within budget.
  • Lead cross departmental project teams and manage all activities in a project life cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) for projects that are across multiple departments or associated with process improvement.
  • Develop and revise project plans including timelines, issues, resources, and dependencies in collaboration with project sponsors and cross departmental
  • Actively manage the mitigation of issues and
  • Develop communication plans and communicate appropriate level of information (status, issues, risks, decisions ) to project sponsors and senior staff.
  • Facilitate decision making with project team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization related to project performance, including, but not limited to schedule, scope, budget , and resources .
  • Train, Coach, Mentor, Develop:
    • Develop project management curriculum to create a competency at GPM Investments.
    • Deliver education to associat
    • Coach and mentor associates on their projects and in their departments.
    • Act as a liaison within and between departments on project management and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred BS in Engineering or like sciences related to construction and project management.
  • AutoCAD or other widely accepted drafting program. Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing design and installation is also preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced math skills relative to load calculations, financial budgeting and other typical Project and Construction math should be demonstrated.
  • 4 - year degree or comparable knowledge in Engineering (Civil or MEP), Construction Project Management or like skill.
  • Good reasoning and common-sense abilities
  • Construction knowledge in the Gasoline/Petroleum & Environmental fields is highly desirable.
