JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Advisor/Individual health Insurance Producer is responsible for performing duties in the Investment Center and in the insurance field as necessary to profitably achieve professionalism, meet compliance requirements, and manage client relationships. Serves as a “point of sale” representative acting as a conduit between our broker/dealer, vendor companies, and the clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.MAINTAIN CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXISTING CLIENTS:
a.Interview clients to obtain financial data and investment goals. Develop, review and present financial strategies drawn from data gathered.
b.Explain, counsel, and sell financial products to clients as appropriate for their specific goals and objectives.
c.Provide customer service in relation to existing investments.
d.Maintain direct accountability for individual performance and attainment of goals.
e.Abide by and enforce all appropriate procedures in handling investor related activities to assure regulatory compliance.
f.Interview insurance customers to identify health insurance needs and recommend and procure appropriate products.
2.DEVELOP NEW CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:
a.Pursue leads for new business prospects.
b.Organize and conduct seminars relating to investment and other financial topics.
c.Participate in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to attract new business.
3.CROSS SELL & REFER SERVICES/PRODUCTS:
a.Expand and cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries (trust,
mortgage, insurance, Ambassador Club, etc.) as appropriate.
b.Maintain working knowledge of all vendor products and services as well as regulatory and economic
factors affecting financial institutions.
c.Provide back-up support for financial counseling and sales for vendor products.
4.TRAINING/EDUCATION:
a. Meet continuing education requirements for licensing as mandated by Raymond James and insurance licensers.
b. Attend broker/dealer professional development conferences.
c. Meet with product wholesalers to stay informed on products.
5.COMPLIANCE:
a.Maintain audit, security, compliance and regulatory standards.
b.Keep informed of changes in general, banking services, procedures, and in the economy as well.
6. MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES:
a.Assist with company functions when possible.
b.Fill in for other departments and/or companies when high volume creates a need if it works within the department/company schedule.
c.Work Saturdays and some holidays on a rotation basis.
d.Assume other duties and responsibilities as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business Administration, or comparable business experience.
2. Two years’ experience in sales/financial/related fields.
3. Series: 7, 63 and 65 (or 66 can be substituted for 63 & 65) licenses.
4. Life and health insurance licenses.
5. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.
6. Professional appearance.
7. Possess effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
8. Self-sufficient/self-starting.
9. Ability to adjust to flexible hours.
10. Strong interest in and ability to sell products and services.
11. Computer skills necessary. Microsoft Office programs and Raymond James Financial Services programs.
12. Deposit Platform experience helpful.
13. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.
14. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
15. Must possess skills to maintain harmonious working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
16. Leadership skills and involvement in company, social and/or extracurricular and civic organizations is expected.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.

Computer, scanner, fax, copier, telephone, calculators and phone system.
Training Requirements:
Continue on-going training for department operations, policies and procedures. Broker/Dealer Trainings and Professional Development conferences.
Normal working days are Monday through Friday~40 hour work week. However, work on some Saturdays, Sunday or holidays may be required by your supervisor.
