Hourly, part-time. Every other weekend required.

Food Services Worker

Primary Function

Assist in a variety of food service areas across the Sauder Village complex, including the Historic Sauder Village Café & Soda Fountain, the Barn Restaurant (including food preparation & stocking buffet), and the Heritage Inn (breakfast bar attendant). Treat guests in a professional and courteous manner, assuring guests enjoy rich dining experiences.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities): include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Prepare and serve food, per protocol. Keep serving areas well stocked and clean.

2. Properly store and label food, per protocol

3. Care for the building, its cleanliness, and equipment.

4. Assist where needed performing additional duties such as washing dishes & pots, sweeping floors, etc.

5. Treat guests and co-workers with courtesy and respect.

6. Provide exceptional guest experiences.

7. Communicate effectively with guests, team leader, management, and co-workers in the kitchen and barn dining room, as well as in all areas of Sauder Village.

8. Keep the safety of guests, staff, and self a priority.

10. Work as needed including some evenings, holidays and be available to work every other weekend.

7. Ability to work independently on tasks and follow through to completion.

8. Keep buffets full and presentable in a timely fashion.

9. Ability to learn, retain, and implement food service information and skills.

10. Able to work in an environment that is not always climate controlled.

11. May involve working in an environment that uses chemicals for cleaning purposes, sanitizing, insect spraying, etc.

12. Must follow the appearance and attire guidelines as outlined in the employee manual.

13. Must follow regulations/guidelines/codes as directed by the Department of Health.

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
