Job description
A busy medical practice, in St. Peters, is seeking a full time Front Desk/Operator who is very energetic, has a positive attitude, thrives in fast-pace environment and is a team player.
This candidate will split time between working the front desk and answering phones.
Front Desk Responsibilities
Open/Close lobby for day. Greet/intake patients cheerfully.
Work up charts ahead of office visit to streamline check in process. Enter demographic information as needed. Scan documents into chart as needed. Schedule appts of returning patients.
Prioritize order of patients for check in, check in patients and collect co-pays, process new patient paperwork, establish patient chart and verify insurance eligibility. Verify referrals are present and valid.
Balance drawers to deposit batch at end of day.
Operator Responsibilities
Answer high volume of incoming calls. Schedule patients for appointments with one of our ENT physicians as well as transferring calls. Other responsibilities include but not limited to medical records, manage appointment wait list, process mail and patient portal messages.
