A Physical Occupational Therapy Private Practice is looking for a Front Desk Rehab Assistant (FDRA) to operate the front desk and assist therapists with hand and upper extremity rehab patients. As the therapists work closely with the assistants, we need a positive, professional assistant who works well with others and supervisors and can learn quickly and apply knowledge accurately. We prefer a candidate with experience verifying insurance, billing, and working with patients.

We are primarily looking for an FDRA to assist in our Fairfax clinic as soon as possible on Monday and Wednesday, 7:30 am-6:30 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm. However, we may also hire quickly for an additional position on Monday, Wednesday, 4:00 am -6:30 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm. We may open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings soon and will need additional assistance.

Pay and benefits vary depending on experience and type of position.

We have part-time and P.R.N. (as needed) positions available.

Some of the job duties include but are not limited to:
-front desk duties: assist in answering the phone professionally, verifying and re-verify insurances, professionally and accurately managing the patient's chart and insurance every visit, scanning medical notes into the electronic medical record, discharging the chart timely, collecting copay's/payments owed by the patients every visit, schedule patients cost-effectively, respond to billers concerns and questions in the electronic system.
-assist the therapists in the clinic: by providing therapy equipment setups for the patients and helping set up the modalities as prescribed by the therapist, helping with other administrative items (record temps and clean modality machines, ordering supplies), and assisting in developing and improving our clinics.

An exciting opportunity for a candidate to further gain skills in the medical field (become an OT, PT, PAC, MD) or increase skills to work at a front medical desk.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $17.36 per hour
