Wallaby Search and Placement is looking for a General Manager to join an inventive and original restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. Fusing modern techniques with traditional arts like sausage and pâté making, breads from scratch, and grinding our own meat for burgers, they embrace the rich past of their craft while carving their own history with a unique blend of flavorful offerings.

About the role

They’re looking for a Front-of-house Manager that will have responsibility for maintaining the standard of work inside the restaurant and lead FOH operations in their entirety. They’re looking for someone who has experience leading a team, who understands the value and importance of coaching, teaching, and mentoring staff in order to achieve a goal. You’ll need great communication & organizational skills, and a desire to be guest oriented at all times.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in FOH management.

You will

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of staff
• Manage the operations and finances of the business
• Recruit & train new hires, and track progress and attendance of all staff
• Monitor service and performance of the team in real time
• Anticipate guests needs to proactively and effectively ensure guests total satisfaction
• Drive the development of employees
• Ensure that the quality of work and hospitality are maintained at all times
