What we are looking for:

Locana is looking for a GIS Scrum Master to leverage the Agile/Scrum framework to organize a large enterprise GIS implementation with multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate can work with both clients and product owners to provide effective collaboration, leadership, and coaching in support of the implementation of GIS solutions. Most importantly, the Scrum Master is responsible for directly helping the team meet its commitments by encouraging adherence to the Agile Scrum principles and practices, removing impediments from the team while promoting self-organization and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is also responsible for maintaining a positive, empowering work environment with the team that includes architects, product owners, and all product stakeholders. This position has a critical communication role focused on building a collaborative and cohesive team, and is responsible for ensuring quality control, successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Top candidates will have:

• 5-7 years professional experience including 2+ years of Scrum Master experience

• Experience in the use of GIS solutions including functional knowledge of leading-edge Esri ArcGIS technology (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, Mobile)

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent a plus.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile approaches (i.e. Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.

• Proficiency with JIRA and other agile work management solutions

• Ability to travel up to 25%

Special consideration for candidates who have:

• Strong industry perspective in the areas of electric and gas transmission and distribution

• Esri Utility Network upgrade/migration experience

• Experience integrating Esri GIS with other Enterprise platforms including Asset Management software and lifecycle solutions

Locana offers a competitive compensation package including salary, bonus, and highly valued benefits programs. The annual salary range for this position is $86,000 to $95,000 in CO and NY.
