  • California (100% Remote job) $60,400 - $75,400 commensurate with experience plus Home Office/Cell Phone Reimbursement (up to $9600/year tax free in addition to salary)

Position Summary

As the H-2B Case Manager Team Lead, you will be responsible for daily interaction with seasonal employers filing under the H-2B program, providing them guidance and support, as well as working directly with and overseeing the Case Manager throughout the filing process. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring an accurate representation of the employer's need, paying close attention to detail and ensuring program compliance. Daily tasks include drafting Statements of Need, responding to NODs and RFEs, and reviewing job orders, applications and petitions for accuracy. You will work closely with the Processing Coordinator to assure a seamless transition from petition approval to the arrival of H-2B workers and provide any follow-up guidance and support to employers as needed.
Prioritizing excellent customer service and client relationship is a key factor in successfully carrying out the function of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Knowledgeable of compliance, programmatic and political changes to the H-2B program.
  • Developing case plans driven by law compliance and clients expressed interests and goals.
  • Conducting various types of research related to laws, legal articles and other information relevant to a case.
  • Organizing and maintain client data, documents and case statuses up-to-date.
  • Composing reports and analyzing information through case records and H2 laws.
  • Interviewing clients and preparing documentation of the interview for case filing.
  • Monitor processing times, case events, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and review legal documents as statements of temporary need, supporting documents, notices of deficiencies, request for evidence and other for filings.
  • Assess prevailing wage requests, temporary labor applications, and non immigrant petitions.
  • Supervise case management, advising and training staff with the expertise and law knowledge.
  • Provide additional support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

4+ years experience in H-2B or H-2A Case Management
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Bilingual in English/Spanish (Preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional tone/demeanor
Superb organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace
Ability to prioritize and restructure deliverables based on client needs
Ability to multi-task under pressure
High intellectual curiosity, good analytical and interpersonal skills
Empathy and ability to perform as a team
Ability to work remotely full-time
Familiarity with Document Share (Google Drive preferred)
Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe) and G-Suite

Compensation, Benefits and Schedule

  • $60,000 - $75,400 salary range
  • Home Office/Cell Phone Reimbursement (if applicable) commensurate with experience (up to $9600/year tax free in addition to salary)
