Job Description:
Our Orthodox Jewish high school in Valley Village, CA is seeking a dedicated and experienced AP Psychology teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching two classes of AP Psychology to our students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans for two classes of AP Psychology
- Provide students with guidance, support, and feedback on their academic progress
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams
- Provide students with opportunities for critical thinking, analysis, and creativity
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents and administrators regarding student progress
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related events as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an AP Psychology setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Kind, personable, and approachable demeanor
