Your Role
The HR Business Partner will support our local initiatives to be an Employer of Choice and help execute the Business Area HR people strategy at our manufacturing site in New Hudson, MI. You will also help to build and maintain a positive employee relations culture, drive process improvements, support a high-quality onboarding program for new hires, and be an HRIS systems expert.
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will report to the HR Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Build and enhance our onboarding processes and our learning and development strategy in line with business needs and supporting a learning organization.
Implement / utilize corporate tools and resources to support talent retention and employee development processes.
Help organize and facilitate onsite HR training for employees.
Become an expert in working with and using the Atlas Copco HRIS systems, including the performance management and development modules, the learning management system; with the ability to evaluate standard and customized reports.
Assist HR team with other business priorities as needed, such as recruitment support, AAP preparation, and employee relations / retention related projects.
To succeed, you will need
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
4+ years professional HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
Must have Microsoft Office skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate high attention to detail and good organization / prioritization skills
Be resourceful, implement good ideas proactively, and problem-solve effectively
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Preference for PHR and/or SHRM professional certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
Must be able to move around a manufacturing site on a regular basis.
