Job description

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The H.R Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of talent management/human resources policies and Payroll processing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process new hires, including creating employee profiles in ADP
• Assist, as needed, with processing bi-weekly payroll for 85-150 employees
• Work with department leaders and other hiring managers on job descriptions, hiring, job performance, and other related HR matters
• Maintain complete and accurate employee files

Minimum qualifications:

• A minimum of three years experience with ADP Workforce now payroll processing
• A minimum of three years experience in a human resources department, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds
• Effective and accurate written and verbal communications
• Experience working with the YMCA organization preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• New Rochelle, NY 10805: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Human resources: 3 years (Required)
