Univaleo is an employment agency (https://univaleo.net) looking for a candidate who can work as an Infection Control Nurse for long care term facility (part time-24 hours /wk) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Education Experience:

• Requires professional training in nursing, medical tech., microbiology, epidemiology, or other related field.
• Requires certification of training in infection control, provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) or equivalent training.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, medical technology, microbiology, epidemiology, public health or related field is preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.

Skills/Knowledge:

• In addition to meeting the mental, physical and communication demands listed above, requires successful completion of hospital orientation and training.
• Must understand principals of and be able to execute action plans forinfection prevention and control.
• Must computer literate and able to create reports with graphs and trends.
• Must be able to use Meyers infection control model to gather data and for rending data for Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement.
• Must be able to work as an effective member of the healthcare team, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others, utilizing tact and diplomacy.
• Requires maintaining confidentiality of patient and Health System information.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.07 - $40.63 per hour
