The Tuscarawas County Public Library System is seeking a motivated individual who will assume the role of Information Technology Associate for the library system.

Position: Information Technology Associate

Status: 30 hours per week
Salary: $16.80 per hour plus benefits [which include 13 paid holidays, sick leave, vacation leave, OPERS Retirement System, $15,000 life insurance, medical insurance (80/20 employer pay), and option to participate in FSA and/or Ohio's deferred compensation

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science or other related field OR customer service in a technology related field and/or equivalent experience. Ohio Driver’s License in good standing.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of computer hardware/software and electronic/network security

Required Skills: Skills in troubleshooting computer and network problems

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Responds to and resolves computer and network problems
• Maintains and troubleshoots the library technology infrastructure (hardware and software)
• Provides technology support for programs by setting up technology for programs and public meetings
• Sets up new computers for public and staff; completes updates of public and staff computers
• May develop, plan, and present technology/electronic programs/training for the public and staff
• Assists with inventory of technology equipment and devices
• Ability to drive to locations within the library’s service district as needed
• Ability to load, unload, lift, shelve, transfer, and/or transport materials up to 50 lbs; occasional work with materials weighing more than 50 lbs. may be required
• Ability to bend, stoop, and climb ladders and use a wide variety of hand and power tools
