ConvergePoint is seeking a skilled and experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and designing effective learning solutions that align with our organizational objectives. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, excellent project management skills, and a passion for creating engaging and impactful learning experiences.

Please Note: This is a hybrid role and you must be willing to commute to our office in Katy, TX


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to identify training needs and goals.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine learning objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes.
  • Design and develop innovative and interactive learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT) materials, job aids, and multimedia assets.
  • Utilize instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create effective and engaging training content.
  • Incorporate appropriate instructional strategies, technologies, and media to enhance learning experiences.
  • Develop assessments and evaluation measures to assess the effectiveness and impact of training programs.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality training solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to leverage existing resources and technologies, as well as identify new tools and approaches.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design and training delivery.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of existing training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of proven experience as an Instructional Designer, preferably in a corporate or professional training environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and best practices in training and development.
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia development software.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and concise learning materials.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, or governance-related training content is a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design, video editing, and animation tools is a plus
