General Summary:
This role is instrumental in the growth of our store - we are one of the highest volume stores in Michigan and having the right items in the right quantities are key to our success. Responsibilities include managing the inventory level of the store to ensure that our customers are never disappointed by lack of product or quantity. This is done through accurate inventory counts and managing the order and claims processes. The ideal candidate will share our goal to “Amaze Every Customer Every Time." The Inventory Lead is responsible for managing the inventory level of the store to ensure that our customers are never disappointed by finding a product out of stock or not available in the quantity needed to complete a project.
We have excellent tools and will train for this role. The best candidates will have an aptitude and drive behind numbers and accuracy, as well as a daily discipline that is required to manage nearly 40,000 unique items. If you worked at an Ace Store in the past you will receive special consideration due to your experience. General home center experienced individuals are also encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeping accurate inventory counts
- Managing the ordering and receipt process
- Managing the claims process
- Manage over 40,000 unique items
- Promote Customer Service as The #1 Priority
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly
- Ensure all merchandise is stocked in sufficient quantities so that our customers are never disappointed
- Maintain accurate inventory at all stages through on-hand integrity, daily receiving, store communication, product mix and flow, and adhering to company best practices, metrics and deadlines
- Utilize available inventory reports to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels and maximize inventory accuracy.

- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service setting
- Aptitude and drive behind numbers and accuracy
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
- Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
