ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that all duties are completed that are outlined in janitorial contract of business partner.
• Assist staff as needed with thoroughness of tasks as well as learning and maintaining current and new skills.
• Provides evaluations of staff being trained through agency employment training programs.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality by treating individual / employee information in an appropriate and confidential manner (meaning individual / employee information is discussed only as necessary).
• Competency in basic first aid and emergency procedures.
• Awareness of infection control procedures.
• Report all work related accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Responsible to report any unsafe condition immediately to supervisor.
• Reporting and documentation of any damage to agency property.
• Will have the ability to train individuals on a variety of janitorial skills.
• Will have the ability to work side by side with individuals and ensure that cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly.
• Will accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Will come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Will have the ability to keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and materials and notify supervisor when new supplies as needed.
• Must comply with all agency policies and trainings.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a High School Diploma and preferably 3+ years of experience cleaning or in the janitorial sector.
• Experience working with individuals who have an intellectual or developmental disability is a plus.
• Must possess all mandated state and federal clearances
• Must have good communication and organizational skills
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program participants, families, staff, and employers
• Must possess a valid PA Driver’s license and be insurable
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must possess the physical capabilities to lift fifty (50) pounds
