Countryside Veterinary Service is seeking a part-time Kennel Attendant to join our growing team! The kennel attendant is responsible for the daily care, feeding and exercise of all boarding pets. He or she is to pay close attention to pets’ status such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and/or veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. A kennel attendant must pay close attention to details, understand, and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding pets.

Job duties:

- Hosing, scrubbing, and disinfecting the kennels, runs, and kennel yard.

- Providing food and water according to special schedules and instructions.

- Monitor boarding pets for stress or changes mentally/physically

- Administering medication to needed pets.

- Replacing/cleaning beds and blankets (use of washer & dryer)

- Perform general playtimes with our Deluxe Package pets

- Perform needed baths and nail trims.

- Taking out kennel trash.

- Keeping track of kennels food storage room.

- Keeping kennel yard clean.

Physical Obligations: - Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

- Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time.

- Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
