Prestige Grout, Marble & Granite is looking for 2 Lead Technicians.
What is a lead technician?
A lead technician is someone who is capable of quickly learning the services that we offer, has the potential to master them in an efficient timeframe and can then lead other technicians by example and with positive attitude and demeanor.
What services does Prestige offer that we must learn?
In no specific order: Marble polishing with buffers & hand polishers, recaulking, regrouting, tile and grout cleaning, color sealing grout & other specialty work.
What are the qualifications?
Must have a valid drivers license, must be legal and have a social security number, must have a positive attitude and be a team player, must show up on time, must be willing to work days that could be anywhere from 5-10 hours.
You must have at least 5 years experience in construction or detail work.
How does the pay & training work?
You will be evaluated at our shop in Schaumburg, IL for half a day. If hired you will start training which lasts about 2-4 weeks. Training pay will be $20-$22 per hour. You will then be set at an hourly rate between $22-$25 per hour. Once trained you will be with other lead technicians until you are ready to work on your own. This can sometimes take 3-6 months. Once you become a lead technician you will receive your first raise which usually starts at $24-$25 minimum. Typical lead technicians will be salaried after 1 year. They will also receive a benefits package.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE COMING FROM A COMPETING COMPANY OR HAVE A TON OF EXPERIENCE IN DOING WHAT WE DO THE PAY WILL BE HIGHER.
