The School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and part-time and lecturers positions to teach the following courses in the professional Master of Management Program for AY 2023-2024:

Fall 2023 – MIST 202: Managerial Finance and Accounting
Spring 2024 – MIST 208: Law, Policy, and Risk Management
Other courses as needed


In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant or reader.

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement.

Appointments for AY 2023/2024 and/or Fall 2023 semester are reviewed beginning in May, and for Spring 2024 semester are reviewed beginning in October. The posting will remain open through February 2024 to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants.
Academic Year: 7/1/2023 – 6/30/2024
Fall Semester: 8/1/2023 – 12/31/2023
Spring Semester: 1/1/2024 – 5/31/2024

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications

Advanced degree in a relevant area or related field and professional experience working in a related field or teaching at the college or university level are required.

Preferred qualifications

A record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
