Terra Vista is searching for both full time and part time licensed practical nurses who would have a set schedule and availability to pick up prn. Shift time availabilities are 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p or 3p-11p. Candidates will preferably have experience in long-term care and dementia. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. Our nurses must be self motivated, patient and compassionate. Nursing responsibilities include overseeing the clinical health of residents, maintaining residents’ health records, and addressing resident emergencies. Other responsibilities are:

• Calmly and competently handle life emergency situations
• Administer resident medications and treatments, and document accordingly
• Be familiar with clinical policies and regulations
• Communicate compassionately with family and friends of residents.
• Manage and meet the needs and care issues of those living with dementia.
• Health record documentation
• Expertly communicate with other health care professionals such as physicians, ER staff, therapy companies, home health agencies, pyschologists, laboratory, etc
• Basic computer skills are a must.
