A Maintenance Technician, or Maintenance Mechanic, is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building’s inhabitants.

Job Description

• The Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance, installation or repairs in plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation, carpentry, painting or vehicle servicing.
• High school or GED with the ability to communicate effectively in writing or orally (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude preferred, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
• Hazwoper Physical is required.
• Mon-Fri 7AM to 3:30PM Overtime is likely to be approximately 5 hours per week.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
