SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Will be required to perform work in the following areas: welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal fabrication, compressor rebuilding, hydraulics, rigging and general equipment repair and installation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs welding, pipe fitting and sheet metal fabrication.
• Performs compressor rebuilding and hydraulic repair.
• Performs rigging and general equipment repair.
• Uses a variety of materials to make alterations, installations and repairs on all types of plant machinery and on all auxiliary equipment.
• Must work in a safe manner, insuring all guards and safety devices are in place after job completion.
• Must be able to read prints.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects.
• Must obtain a fork lift license.
• Must perform all other duties as assigned.
• May perform limited electrical troubleshooting, repair or installation within abilities.
• Compliance with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
• Other Duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School diploma
Preferred:

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:

SKILLS:

• Required: Must be able to read and write
• Must be dependable
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must be willing to be on call, carry a pager and work overtime as necessary
• Must have at least four years mechanical experience using the skills described in the job summary
• Must be able to lift heavy material and handle physical effort
• Responsible for the safety of others in the performance of job duties
