Job description

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY: Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve

products or reduce costs using knowledge of manufacturing processes,

tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control

standards, product design, material and parts.

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

*Assist manufacturing in ways to improve processes and productivity.

*Mechanize and automate manufacturing operations.

*Manage projects.

*Assist Purchasing in evaluating equipment vendors and in specifying

equipment.

*Prepare cost justification on equipment.

*De-bug and install equipment.

*Instruct personnel on operation and maintenance.

*Ability to identify assembly needs.

*Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

*Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related

engineering field.

*One to three years of design experience preferred

*AutoCAD experience preferred.

*Proficient with Desktop software (Excel, Word, Power Point)

*Travel as required for training, support of project tasks, product issues,

or other design or job related needs.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
