The Associate Director, Market Research and Business Intelligence is responsible for generating, integrating and translating insights into growth opportunities and tactics that shape decisions and drive organizational action within the Janssen Cardiovascular Business Unit. This position will serve as an internal consultant to Cardiovascular Marketing & Sales Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of primary research plan for HCP, Patient and Payer Stakeholders.
- Lead the creation & implementation of comprehensive business intelligence plans (including alerts, timelines, and competitive simulations) designed to communicate the impact of competitive and environmental insights on CVM strategies
- Keep abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our business strategies.
- Partner across the Commercial Insights & Strategy team to integrate primary research (custom, syndicated, etc.) with brand/sales/payer analytics, forecasting & intelligence insights to drive strategies and organizational actions that have tangible impact in revenue or profit.
- Craft overall market research plan to address brand strategic imperatives, identifying appropriate supplier partners and cultivating strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing and overall project goals
- Manage, motivate and empower direct reports through talent strategy & performance management, development planning, day to day coaching, workload prioritization, etc.
- Provide strategic input to help shape business plans, brand strategies and new indication launch plans and life cycle management.
- Be accountable for conducting primary research and business intelligence activities in a compliant manner.
- Take personal accountability for making Credo-based decisions and fostering a Credo-based culture.
Qualifications
Education:
- BA/BS required; Advanced degree is desirable
Experience and Skils:
Required:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience in market research, analytics, business intelligence, finance, marketing, or sales is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of market research experience is required.
- Demonstrated success at being a strategic advisor to business leaders.
- Demonstrated success solving ambiguous business problems and generating actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making.
- Strength in storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations.
- Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity and strong leadership agility
- Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred:
- Experience managing, motivating and coaching direct reports is preferred.
- Prior business intelligence experience is preferred.
- Cardiovascular experience is preferred.
Other:
- This position may require up to 10% domestic travel.
The base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
