Citadel Masonry – Hard Bid Jr. Estimator

At Citadel Masonry, the masonry division of Monteith Construction, we are always looking for excellent people to join our team. The Masonry Jr. Estimator should have a solid understanding of the masonry trade, the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades, and work sequence.

What You’ll Do at Citadel

You will work to win new work for Citadel through the development and submission of high-quality estimates for commercial construction projects. Below, you will find some of the duties that you will perform as the Hard Bid Jr. Estimator for Citadel Masonry.

• Review and maintain pricing from a historical database for hard-bid projects
• Review proposal specifications, and drawings, and attend bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate
• Prepare estimates and complete takeoff of multiple scopes of work division through electronic take-off software and office applications; Planswift, iSqFt, Excel, Modelogix, Autodesk CAD/ Revit / Assemble, Outlook, etc.
• Provide support to awarded contracts by attending budget and financial costings, and by providing support to project teams with budget clarifications or discrepancies with trade partners throughout the course of construction.
• 2-5 years of hard bid experience, including final bid closing and presentation to clients in highly time-sensitive situations.
