Responsibilities:

• Assist with securing correct data for the system and helping lead the effort to confirm the data has been correctly entered into the system.
• Advocate for the development of MRP beyond initial phases of implementation and full maturity for maximized enterprise efficiency.
• Communicate planning and readiness as appropriate across operations and support functions of the organization.
• Complete transactional processes within the MRP system
• Communicate directly with internal stakeholders regarding entry status, errors, and scheduling conflicts
• Follow up on product development and evolution within the MRP system.
• Identify the need for pack size changes to minimize write offs in GMP.
• Inactivate unused raw materials in the MRP system.
• Maintain alternative item/substitution tables.
• Proactively recommending items for discontinuation
• Proactively phasing in and out materials on BOM’s.
• Rationalize AMNs.
• Solicit feedback from Business Unit and Operations for effectiveness
• The ideal Materials Planner will track discontinued materials.
• Track actual usage versus each BOM.
• Understand and translate highly technical production processes into MRP system configuration for execution, examples include fine tuning existing BOM’s, adjusting existing formulas to maximize production yield.
• Work with manufacturing SME’s to capture information, support training within operations and connective functions of the organization, and identify opportunities for improvement in the system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience within a commercialized manufacturing setting.
• Ability to drive projects to completion
• Ability to source data, analyze, and make recommendations
• Ability to execute transactional entries at a high rate with maximum accuracy
• Understanding of biologics manufacturing preferred
• Organized with a high attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous MRP/ERP entry proficiency
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)
• Ability to build relationships and influence others without direct authority
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization
• Ability to multitask and balance priorities in a rapidly changing environment
