The Hickman Friends Senior Community of West Chester, PA is seeking Full Time/Part Time Med Tech staff to become a part of our community’s compassionate care-giving team.

Our Med Tech and Resident Care staff interact directly with our residents, families, outside agencies, and interdepartmental staff members. We are searching for dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Fulltime/Part Time Med Techs to be a vital link for our residents to support their continued engagement in the community they love! At The Hickman, the Resident Care staff is responsible for providing the highest degree of care to our residents in personal care.

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build meaningful relationships with our residents and families as you distribute prescribed medication and assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services to them.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to Director of Resident Care.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment.
• Assist and escort residents to meals and activities. Participate in activities and functions as directed.
• Perform various tasks assigned by the charge nurse including vital signs, residents’ weight, collecting specimens, etc.
• Answer residents’ call bells promptly and courteously.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent Organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

Qualifications of our Resident Care staff:

Related Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior living community is required.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Licenses and Certifications: Med Tech Certification Required,

CNA licensed (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred and in accordance with laws of the state of Pennsylvania.

For consideration of employment CNA candidates must have reliable transportation, and successfully pass a background check. Availability to work evening shift, alternating weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $16.61 - $18.00 per hour
