Position Summary

Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced medical professional for the Bilingual Medical Coordinator/Administrative assistant position for its Juntos Program. This is a full time position in a quickly growing organization that positively influences children and teens. The Medical Coordinator assists the treatment team to provide the utmost care by ensuring the health and safety of all youth in the program. The Medical Coordinator helps prepare and implement a comprehensive health plan to ensure that each resident's medical, dental and other health needs are being met adequately and properly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Medical Coordinator assists the treatment team including therapists, counselors, nurses, and residential staff to provide life skills education in health related topics. The Medical Coordinator provides aid during individual counseling sessions to ensure that all requirements for documentation are adhered to and to coordinate the appointments with medical and psychiatric consultants. The Medical Coordinator communicates productively with staff and maintains a "teamwork" approach. This individual ensures physical examination, treatment or referral of all emergent health concerns of residents, completes Medication Logs, administers appropriate medications when authorized by a physician, and disposes of old medications properly. The Medical Coordinator helps facilitate two health groups per week. The schedule for the Medical Coordinator position is generally 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, however some evenings and weekends may be required.

Requirements:

• 2 years relevant experience and a High School Diploma is required but Associate Degree in a related field is prefered
• Must have experience working with youth and must possess the ability and experience to relate well with youth
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration
• Must pass medical, criminal, motor vehicle and background check upon hire.
