Position Summary
As a member of our Finance team, this position would put you at the forefront of a number of merger and acquisition transactions, providing exposure to Executive and Senior Leadership throughout our organization and also to senior management of companies targeted for acquisition.
Key areas of responsibility for the position include:
- Provide analytic support in planning and executing acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives spanning all facets of the process, including assessment, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.
- Complete valuation analysis such as comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and related investment returns.
- Perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions.
- Participate in and prepare for meetings and due diligence sessions with target company management and external advisors (e.g., investment bankers, lawyers, and accountants).
- Support financial and operational due diligence analysis of target companies and identify and resolve key deal issues.
- Support deal team and other leaders in developing and presenting executive-level memoranda, presentations, and detailed financial analysis to share with senior leadership.
- Research, review, and screen potential acquisition and partnership opportunities.
- Support ad hoc projects (e.g., analysis of prospect pipeline, tracking of prior investments, etc.) and other administrative tasks to enhance the group’s infrastructure and connectivity with operations.
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Assist in the development of business policies, conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analysis.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance degree or equivalent training and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of professional finance experience.
- 2 years of transaction-oriented analytical experience from M&A group at an investment bank or corporate development department
- Related industry experience helpful.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Superior Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good organizational skills with a high degree of analysis, accuracy, quality, and detail orientation.
- High degree of integrity.
- Technical skills related to accounting, real estate brokerage, mortgage, or franchise businesses helpful.
- Skills to complete complex financial analysis and excellent problem-solving techniques.
- Able to work independently and as a member in a team-oriented environment.
- Candidates should have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and possess strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple acquisition targets.
- Willingness to work extended hours, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 per year
