Position Title: Microwave Lead

We are offering a $1000 Bonus Retention for all new hires that complete the 90 day probationary period.
General Job Description: This position is responsible for assisting Production Supervisors in maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible.

Tasks:
This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. Assists in the supervision and follows up on scheduled work with all associates in assigned area of responsibility and in the Manufacturing Department if the need arises. Reviews production schedule for needs and accuracy. Ensures equipment availability and proper operation throughout the shift. Ensures correct usage of raw materials throughout the shift, including monitoring grinder batch verification forms and investigating when not accurate and finding ways to correct loads before running them out for processing. Maintain Line 5S ready. Perform routine 5S audits. Correcting associates as necessary. Responsible for understanding, communicating, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) during operations. Observe and ensure adherence to standard work. Ensures all equipment and work area is free of all hazards. Initiates, facilitates, and follows up on all suggested safety improvements as well as monitoring associates and equipment so as to notice safety opportunities before associates do. Research line performance data and generate reports that tabulate and graph data. Analyze information looking for performance against goal opportunities complete with suggested methods for improvement. Review material usage variance performance daily and complete, if necessary, MUV Response form with reasons and solutions for losses that exceed historical product performances and standards. Updates and maintains all performance management tracking charts. Other duties include working with Production Supervisors in solving problems, providing continuous education on the importance of safety and quality, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills - ability to communicate articulately both verbally and via written media.
