Overview
Under the direction of the Director of System Clinical Nutrition, Quality and Compliance, the Clinical Nutrition Manager (System) will develop, plan, coordinate and manage operations of the clinical nutrition program of the Riverside Health System (RHS). Primary responsibilities will include direct oversight and support of the acute care Registered Dietitians (RDs); support for Lifelong Health RDs as needed; maintenance and ongoing review of clinical nutrition policies and oversight of Quality and Process Improvement efforts. In collaboration with System Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) management team, will support food service operations projects as needed to support patient menu planning/execution and other clinically significant projects as they arise; and support budgetary and finance goals and constraints.

What you will do
- Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care based upon system clinical need, medical direction and patient/resident population needs
Hires, leads, directs, coaches, orient/trains, and develops Registered Dietitians. Serves as a mentor to facilitate professional growth and job satisfaction of employees.
Fosters teamwork through regular communication and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs to advance clinical nutrition initiatives to improve quality of patient/resident care or processes.
Establishes and monitors competence, productivity, and accuracy of documentation of clinical nutrition care and services
Ensure compliance with all state, federal and accrediting body criteria for participation, licensure and accreditation. Directs the nutrition care process through supervision of clinical dietitians, including nutrition screening, assessment, diagnosis, interventions, monitoring and evaluation to ensure compliance to established standards of care and regulatory requirement.
Attends and participates in system-wide interdisciplinary committee related to clinical care.
Assists the System Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team with clinical oversight of the electronic medical record and food service technology platforms.
Supports System FNS team with Life Long Health support pertaining to Registered Dietitians, Clinical Policy and menu development as needed.
Develop, design, implement and coordinate annual QAPI projects involving the clinical or interdisciplinary teams and report out to required facility/system level committees.
Provide leadership support/oversight for Dietetic Intern program.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Degrees obtained from an Accredited school with Major in Nutrition/Dietetics or health-related field of study accepted by the Commission on Dietetic Practice (Required)
Masters Degree, (Preferred)
Experience
- 7-10 years Minimum 7 years clinical nutrition experience with evidence of strong medical knowledge and application to a variety of clinical cases varying in clinical complexity (Required)
3-4 years Minimum 3 years supervisory/managerial experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Dietician (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (Required)
- Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job
Valid Drivers License Required
