Job description
A highly FDA regulated client of ours is seeking to bring on Operations Supervisors to oversee their B and C shifts. The individuals will be are responsible for ensuring all phases of production activity are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership through supervision and direction to staff and coordinate work flow within the work unit, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems.
- Drive high levels of customer service levels by executing the production schedule.
- Identify weekly labor requirements and develops a schedule in conjunction with the Manager.
- Drive safety and GMP standards as a priority through participation in Safety/GMP Audits.
- Due the criticality of manufacturing process, may be required to arrive early or stay late to batch completion.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
- ISO Clean Room gowning. Supervisor must maintain certification.
- Preferred experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing or filling.
- One position will require the ability to work 2nd shift
- Ability to lead and maintain adequate level of performance of individuals engaged in job tasks that are highly structured, routine, and repetitive.
- Ability to resolve problems and issues to ensure efficient flow of manufacturing operations and work completion.
- Basic math skills and ability to understand the metric system required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, stoop, and reach overhead.
- May drive or operate lifts.
- Works with chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Pre-employment physical and drug testing required.
- Manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels (hearing protection recommended).
- Works with controlled substances and hazardous chemicals requiring safe handling and control measures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
