Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible hybrid)
The Operations Support Specialist improves processes and procedures within the Suncoast Credit Union branch network. This role values teamwork and aims to establish positive, cohesive relationships. The OSS is diligent in consistently seeking opportunities to support employee experience and strengthen daily operations through automation. Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current operational processes to increase branch efficiency, reduce errors, and attain business goals
  • Identify procedural deficiencies and implement automation to make improvements
  • Provide recommendations for improving overall operational efficiencies and consistencies across the branch network
  • Maintain knowledge of the branch employee job roles and systems
  • Conduct routine fieldwork to create consistent processes and procedures for the entire branch network
  • Collect data and analyze the root cause of operational malfunctions hindering efficiency
  • Present performance solutions to the Operations Support Management Team
  • Ensure the availability of accurate resources for frontline staff by actively updating the written instructions and procedures provided on the E3 page
  • Collaborate with various departments to assist with testing software updates directly impacting frontline operations
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts during the onset of strategies to ensure we maximize efficiency
  • Assist with policy and procedures training for service center management to mitigate risk and ensure operational consistency throughout the retail branching network
  • Perform audits to review the service centers’ system of internal controls, compliance with credit union policies or procedures, and verify the accuracy of financial and operational data
  • Create reports for the Service Center Managers and Vice Presidents of Service Center Operations detailing the centers’ effectiveness at mitigating risk associated with operations
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of retail branch operations experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to branch operations
  • Proficient understanding of all credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform branch job duties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with multiple tasks
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to resolve problems and increase efficiencies throughout the branch network
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with members and internal staff
  • Proficient public speaking skills and the ability to disseminate information for presenting
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations, including CFPB, to ensure all work
