Royston’s Fabrication Department currently has an immediate opening for a Beam Saw Operator for our first shift. Needed to successfully run a beam saw with the ability to control the number of parts coming on and off the saw.

Qualifications:

• The ability to handle multiple sheet goods at one time.
• Ability to optimize sheet goods, utilizing scrap material efficiently.
• Ability to quality control.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand decimal to inch ratio.
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Strong attention to safety procedures.
• Knowledge of sheets goods and substrates.
• Knowledge of solid stock material.

Duties:

• Wear Steel Toe Boots
• Operate the beam saw correctly and efficiently.
• Make sure machine parts are the correct size.
• Inspect materials to ensure they are free from defects such as chipped edges.
• Make sure products on pallets are in correct quantities.
• Place cut materials into the next step of production accurately.
• Organize sheet goods in the beam saw station area.
• Palletize production components.
• Label parts to accurately identify them.
• Run a forklift to move materials.
• Regular beam saw maintenance.
• Keep a tidy and organized work station.
• Check fluid levels and grease fittings.
• Change saw blades.
• Calibrate blades after blade change.
• Palletize production components.

Experience:

• 1+ year with beam saw operation experience.
• Educational requirement is a high school diploma.
• 1 + year running the following programs:
  • Holzma HPP-350( Cut Right)
  • Selco EB-120

Work Environment: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing plant environment. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time and wear required PPE at all times while on the production floor. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. is required for this position.

Required Education:

• High school or equivalent.

Working Conditions and physical requirements:
Working conditions are normal for a plant environment. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Use hands and fingers, able to bend, reach hand over shoulders, climb, push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
