The Baer Group is looking for Oracle DBA for a 12+ month Federal Remote Project

Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: All-Inclusive

Description:

• Responsible for maintaining GoldenGate (GG) 18c replication as well as administering all aspects of the Oracle DBA for on-prem & AWS RDS instances, and displaying ownership and proficiency in the following areas:
• Install, config & admin Oracle RAC DBs on AIX, including operation of 2-node clusters
• Install, Config and troubleshoot GG active-active 3 way replication between on-prem and cloud hosted Oracle instance
• Configure Oracle High Availability using Active DataGuard
• Configure GG Studio and integrate with Oracle VeriData
• Conflict Detection and Resolution in Active-Active Replication Using Oracle GG
• Perform data refreshes from Prod to Non-Prod env
• Monitor DBA activities such as data guard, backup & recovery, Error Logs, Space, Performance, Session monitoring for proper capacity and availability
• Additional responsibilities may include participating in security audits, documenting security issues, working with system owners and end users to capture functional and technical security requirements, firewall rule configuration, data security controls and understanding Federal security policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a related field as well.
• Excellent communication skills, customer service and client management skills
• Bachelor’s degree

Public trust security clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
