Lifetime Products, Inc. has a fulltime day shift opening for a CDL driver. This position will be responsible for making deliveries along the Wasatch Front. Drivers will be hauling and delivering slit steel coil, tubing and flat steel sheet processed in the Clearfield facility. Most of these deliveries will be between Logan and Payson.
Previous driving and flatbed experience with knowledge of properly securing loads on a flatbed required.
Over the road, drivers are also responsible for performing light maintenance functions, including inspecting vehicles and parts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Required qualifications:
- Must have a valid Utah Class A CDL,
- A clean motor vehicle history and a driving record in good standing (MVR required when submitting application)
- Ability to review shipping and transport documentation
- Flatbed experience with knowledge of how to properly securing loads
- Will be required to complete a physical abilities test and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Good customer service and communication skills for interacting with clients and suppliers
- An attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Basic-level mechanics knowledge for performing maintenance duties
- Applicant must be flexible with hours, during our day shift schedule, and available to work overtime as requested. Monday through Friday, some Saturdays may be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously twisting/bending, squatting/stooping/crouching, kneeling/crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, walking, standing, balancing, sitting, uses repetitive hand movements, operating hand controls, operates foot controls, drives truck, and operates moving equipment/forklift/etc. Frequently, the employee is pushing/pulling and performs repetitive hand motions. Further, the employee is frequently required to lift up to 100 pounds of force. In addition, occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds of force. Specific vision abilities required to include: visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and a clear field of vision.
