Attention Spanish speakers, passionate educators, and outdoor enthusiasts! Aventuras Forest School is hiring!

We're a small educational organization that is rethinking early childhood education from the ground up (literally). Aventuras is the first language-immersion forest preschool in Southern California. Led by a Harvard-trained education researcher, our motto is simple: learn like a human. Our 100% outdoor school features an emergent curriculum situated in a gorgeous natural setting.

Aventuras serves ages 3 to 6, and is strongly informed by the forest school model. If you've ever tried to cartwheel across a meadow or catch a frog in a stream, or dreamed of creating the ideal setting for a young child to explore their inner and outer worlds, we want to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, and a love of the outdoors. Native-level fluency in Spanish is required and must be specified in your application for consideration. Candidates must also be comfortable carrying a small child or pulling a supply wagon short distances over uneven ground, and providing potty assistance to our little ones.

• Naturalist/outdoor education/survivalist training/experience a plus
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field a plus
• Summer camp counseling experience a plus
• Swimming proficiency a plus
• Ukulele/guitar/flute skills a plus
• Movement/voice/performing arts/visual arts/yoga background a plus

Working hours are M-F 8:30am-1:30pm, plus Friday 2:30-5:30 pm, with additional (flexible) hours potentially available for planning/administration and opportunities for revenue-sharing in supplemental programs like our Parent & Me classes.

Start date: ASAP on a temp-to-perm basis, with permanent work available starting in August.

Salary: $19-20/hour with opportunities for revenue-sharing in our supplemental programs
