General Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Implements plans for children with special needs under the direct supervision of the teacher- Attend DFSS and special needs trainings
- With appropriate training, makes daily modifications for individuals while getting approval from teacher
- Assists teachers with monitoring and scoring of TSG objectives on the individual children working with
- Reports results and observation of children doing individualized activities with
- Contributes to objective, especially by providing daily updates on student progress
- Implements lesson to meet individual objectives of children working
- Provides follow-up instruction to small groups and individuals with special needs
- Prepares materials for children working with individually
- Implements positive behavioral strategies using the same techniques as with all the other teachers
- Assist teacher with making sure appropriate strategies are used based on daily contact with child
- Takes children to bus and retrieve children from the bus
Job Requirements
Experience/Education
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate is required
- Previous experience working with children 3 to 5, head start experiences preferred
- College credits in Early Childhood Education is preferred
Language
- English preferred

- At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
