Job Title : Part-Time Maintenance Workers

HVAC Technicians
Installs, services and maintains HVAC and Refrigeration equipment with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installs, repairs, maintains and upgrades HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available for each job in District Facilities. High School Diploma Required Needs to be EPA Certified Technician and adheres to Horry County Schools core values.

Electrical Technicians
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and upgrades electrical systems and equipment. This consists of high and low voltage circuitry systems and equipment. Voltage can range from 24 volts to 480 volts. Ensures the completion of work in a safe and timely manner, according to code regulations and specifications. High School Diploma Required, Commercial/Industrial Electrical Certification or Licenses Preferred. Adheres to Horry County Schools core values.

Mechanical Technicians
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, and testing of boiler, water heater, pumps, piping, fans, compressors, and performs plumbing installations and repairs on water and sewer lines and associated fixtures. Follows all safety codes, requirements and regulations; performs all work in accordance with safety procedures. High School Diploma Required, Technical degree Preferred or Mech / Plumbing licenses / certification. Adheres to Horry County Schools core values.

General Crafts Technician
Performs a variety of skilled work in the areas of roofing, painting, carpentry, sheetrock install and repairs; installs various educational equipment to sustain the assets of Horry County Schools. This position promotes a safe and attractive work and learning environment for our staff and students. High School Diploma Required / Technical or Certification Preferred. Adheres to Horry County Schools core values.

Maintenance Assistant Technician
Assist the Team with repairs, troubleshoots or replacement of any equipment. Maintains a clean and safe work area during work duties. In most cases the Assistant is the runner for extra parts and tools. Must be a team player who wants to play a vital role in our success. Adheres to Horry County Schools core values. High School Diploma Required

Other Duties
Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned.

• Physically capable of frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
• Physically able to operate and evaluate a variety of custodial equipment
• Ability to train others in the use and care of various types of cleaning equipment
• Ability to maintain simple logs, records, and the ability to generate reports.
• Ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagrammatic or scheduled form.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time;
• Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; and speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone.
