AMS Drafting & Design, Inc. is a small residential drafting company seeking a part-time subcontractor to assist in the creation of residential construction documents. Over the past 10 years our reputation and workload have grown exponentially and we are in need of some help to continue to grow our business!
RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD INCLUDE:
Putting construction document sets together, addressing County/City comments and possibly taking on the design/drafting roll for smaller projects (to start) such as additions/remodels/ADUs/barns/etc.
LOCATION:
Subcontractor can work remotely from own computer but must be in the greater Sacramento area to meet in Folsom at least one day per week, or as workload requires.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Autodesk Revit (absolutely mandatory as this is the main program we use)
Knowledge of California & local building codes
3+ years of experience with residential drafting preferred
HELPFUL SKILLS:
AutoCAD
Interest in architecture & design, and an artistic eye is a plus
COMPENSATION:
This is a sub-contractor position only (W-9), not a part-time employee. We do not offer benefits at this time. Pay is per project or hourly, depending on experience.
We are currently a two-person business and are at workload capacity, ideally we need someone who is looking to grow with the company (as future employment status could change from sub to employee and benefits may become available with company growth).
