Summary

The Permitting Manager supervises the Renewal by Andersen of Florida (RbA) Permitting Department and is responsible for ensuring that each job has the correct permits necessary for projected job starts. Must be knowledgeable about the requirements for each city, municipality, and county. Responsible for scheduling all inspections that are needed in conjunction with each permit issued to our company to perform work. Keep detailed records for all information relating to all permits. Administrative duties also include being attentive to inbound and outbound calls.

What You Will Be Doing

• Oversee complete permit processes for all window/door replacements.
• Enter receipts/allocate job cost for each permit account per accounting guidelines.
• Manage performance and expectations of the permit team that consists of permit technicians at each RbA Office.
• Coordinate renewal of the business tax receipts contractor licenses and insurance certificates for the company.
• Maintain municipality registrations/renewals with each municipality as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for each type of permit with each municipality and update as needed.
• Maintain database of product approvals/installation instructions and current permit forms.
• Ensure proper record keeping of permit and inspection information in CRM systems.
• Ensure the scheduling and tracking of inspections – coordinating with production departments.
• Apply and/or deliver permits as needed.
• Address permit-related customer service issues.
• Communicate openly with the production departments.
• Provide training/development for new processes with permitting.
• Conduct routine visits to Jacksonville and Tampa offices to support the permit technicians.

• 
  High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Permitting
• Construction industry experience a plus
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a remote team
• Must be proficient in MS Office suite
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
