Job description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.
- Plan and perform experiments independently
- Prepare lab reports and manuscripts
- Performs a variety of immunology and pathology assays and procedures including cell culture, ELISA, western blot, PCR, and flow cytometry
- Assists with the conduct of studies with animals
- Interacts with graduate students
- Capable of presenting data at scientific meetings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Potential exposure to radiation and biohazards. May require completion of appropriate vaccinations. Regular use of PPE required. .
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience
