The Willows is a healing sanctuary for young adult women, led by women. Located just outside of Asheville NC, The Willows is a transformative women's addiction treatment center for 18–35-year-old women. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes. During their time at our gender-specific treatment center, clients receive a minimum of 25 hours of clinician-led group and individual therapy sessions each week. This level of care ensures that our clients receive the attention they need and deserve while progressing toward growth and change.

The Willows is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide gender-specific, clinically-focused, and trauma-informed care in an environment conducive to healing.

This position is located in Fletcher NC

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy for individuals with substance use, trauma and co-occurring mental health disorders including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, client education, discharge planning and referral, all of which will be reflected by accurate record keeping
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
  • Accurately assess clients and develop individualized treatment goals, using client input, and client strengths, abilities, needs and preferences
  • Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in overcoming challenges
  • Produce assessments, treatment plans, and other records in a timely manner
  • Work in collaboration with other professionals as part of a treatment team
  • Complete and upload to EMR all documentation within one week of service or as indicated by supervisor: including pre-admission assessment, clinical assessment, treatment plan, weekly progress note, group note, discharge summary and transition plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring professionals
  • Initiate appropriate referrals to continuing care programs
  • Utilization review and ASAM for insurance companies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Master’s degree in human service field
  • LCSW, LPC, or LCAS, or pursuing licensure
  • Current CPR/AED/Basic First Aid certification
  • Current Nonviolent Crisis intervention certification
  • Experience in facilitating group therapy
  • Experience with experiential therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dual licensed in both addiction and mental health treatment (or willing to seek both)
  • Experience working with young adults in an eco-therapeutic setting

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
