As the Agricultural Product Manager for JLG Industries, you will help to advance our initiative to develop, deliver and support our products in the North American Agricultural Industry. The ideal individual for this role will have Agricultural Industry background, relevant product development experience as well as familiarity with operating agricultural equipment. This role will work closely with external Customers and internal Sales and Product Development teams, helping to transform unmet customer and product application needs into practical product definition requirements.
YOUR IMPACT
  • Assist the Agricultural Sales Channel Development team as the product expert during Dealer and End User product demos
  • Provide support on special product inquiries and product application questions from Dealers and End Users
  • Analyze Agricultural industry and competitive trends to help support business and product strategy
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives and work with Application Engineering to coordinate field product assessments
  • Evaluate trends in “Jobs to be Done” and unmet customer needs that may lead to new product opportunities
  • Support product development initiatives as a subject matter expert on Agricultural industry and product insights
  • Develop Product Definitions and Market Assessments for New Product Development projects
  • Promote brand and product awareness by supporting Dealer Events and/or Agricultural Trade Shows
  • Assist in development of marketing materials for agricultural products and solutions, ensuring effective communication of brand promise, product value, and product features and benefits
  • These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be added
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Agriculture Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field with a minimum 7 years of experience in Agriculture equipment sales, support and/or development, OR
  • No Degree with a minimum of 10 year of experience in Agriculture equipment sales, support and/or development
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time, this is highly dependent on business cycle and needs

  • Agricultural industry background and experience operating agricultural equipment

  • Excellent organizational skills and effective time management
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives, feedback, and manage through influence
  • Works independently with minimal direction, collaborates well with others when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and ability to analyze and interpret industry trends and business insights
