PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

• Earn up to $26.75 per hour
• 6% SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 2ND SHIFT; 10% SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 3RD SHIFT
• $100 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS EVERY TWO WEEKS

Mahle Behr Charleston is seeking eager production associates to join our growing automotive manufacturing team, offering ample of performance and attendance-based bonus opportunities!

SHIFT AVAILABILITY:

·1st shift: 6a-2p or 6a-4:30p

· 2nd shift: 2p-10p

· 3rd shift: 9:30p-6a or 7:30p-6a

** Potential for extended shifts / weekend overtime based on business needs**

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble/build modules
• Run leak test on radiators
• Operate mechanical equipment to produce parts
• Meet hourly and team goals set by the schedule and engineering studies
• Be able to lift and move parts up to 40 lbs. between workstations
• Be able to visually inspect and identify defects on parts, to stop and adjust equipment and correct the problem
• Understand product functionality and failure modes affecting the product
• Maintain quality, productivity, and continuous improvement of assigned equipment
• Adhere to company safety rules and follow all federal and state agencies’ requirements
• Follow quality, technical, process and operational procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Train new associates in proper operation of the equipment and product
• Responsible for 5s, escalation of any issue affecting the functionality or the safety of the equipment or quality of the product
• Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as with a team
• Read and follow all process documentation and operator instructions
• Flexibility to work overtime and any shift as required

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATION:

• Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but not required
• High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or WorkKeys
• Demonstrated knowledge of processes and product in assigned area
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and follow written instructions
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job; including the ability to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Adequate ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50 lbs., reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch
