Job description

You are responsible for ensuring all phases of production activity are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). You will maintain a management presence in the production areas through the monitoring and control of production processes. You will have the goal to improve the efficiency of the operation by analyzing and correcting production problems; and coordinating with other departments to ensure scheduling efficiency and batch record audit completion.

Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:

Provide strong leadership through supervision and direction to staff and coordinate workflow within the work unit, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems.

Drive effectiveness and efficiency of department

Drive high levels of customer service levels by executing the production schedule

Identify weekly labor requirements and develops a schedule in conjunction with the Manager

Drive safety and GMP standards as a priority through participation in Safety/GMP Audit Programs

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Lead individuals engaged in job tasks that are highly structured, routine, and repetitive.
• Resolve problems and issues to ensure efficient flow of manufacturing operations and work completion.
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure schedule adherence, control production costs, and fulfill customer demands.
• Basic math and measurement abilities
• General computer usage and MS Office competency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization both verbally and digitally.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years previous supervisory experience preferred, or equivalent leadership experience.
• cGMP environment experience, preferred.
• Preferred experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing or filling, medical device, or other regulated industry.
• Working Off-Shift hours, preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• This position will require the ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift. There will be training on days and work hours flexibility is required.
• Combination of office and production environment.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, stoop, and reach overhead.
• May drive or operate lifts.
• Works with chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Pre-employment physical and drug testing required.
• Manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels (hearing protection recommended).
• Works with controlled substances and hazardous chemicals requiring safe handling and control measures.
• Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
• Must wear appropriate garments and coverings per cGMP (uniforms, hair/beard nets, etc.).
• No contact lenses, jewelry (rings, watches, etc.) or make-up are allowed.
• Must be available for flexible schedule and/or overtime. Days and hours of work subject to change due to production schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
