POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Membership Director, Branch Executive and in accordance with Association policies, the Program Instructor is responsible for instructing participants while maintaining a fun, safe and caring environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 1 5 years of age and have at least one year experience in child supervision or program instruction .

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Able to demonstrate the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work within the YMCA.
• Must be able to create and execute lessons plans following the program curriculum and or goals and effectively interact with participants and parents if applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with members, parents, children and staff.
• Must be able to exercise mature judgment and sound decision making.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds is required.
