We are currently looking for candidates with a passion for client satisfaction and outstanding project
delivery for the PROJECT ARCHITECT position with experience in shell buildings and tenant
improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Meet with clients to discuss and determine project scope and client requirements
Coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance with client objectives, project budget(s), city,
state and federal codes
Produce detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Manage project team including client and consultant team from conceptual design through
construction to ensure project objectives are met
Prepare detailed technical drawings and coordinate with consultant team to produce a complete set
of construction documents including details and written specifications for bidding and construction
Ensure all documents conform to applicable codes and standards including office standards
Review construction documents for quality control evaluation
Coordinate and run project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes
Maintain project schedule and project budget.
Maintain continuous contact with the client to provide update on project progress and communicate
changes
Assist in preparing project proposals and amendments as required
Coordinate with contractor during construction phases of projects, conduct site visits, process
submittals and RFIs during construction
Coordinate with contractor and project team to resolve issues that may come up during construction
Liaison with building officials during project permitting and construction phases.
May supervise Job Captain(s) and be assisted by Interior Designers.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, team-building, leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills
Strong initiative and motivational skills to operate efficiently with minimal direct supervision
Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills
Strong knowledge of building codes and in depth understanding of building systems
Ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems
Ability to manage multi-tasking priorities on an accelerated schedule
Proven ability to produce a complete set of construction documents including written specifications
Experience in design and construction of projects >$1M
Experience working directly with clients
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office software
Education and Experience
Licensed Architect (prefer State of California) with minimum 8 years of experience in the architectural
profession in the listed project types. At least 3 years of experience at the Project Architect level required.
Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university required

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
